Football League & PFA Administration Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Windsor Limited and the company was formed in 1986 to administer The Football League Ltd Players Retirement Income Scheme ('the Scheme'). The Scheme is open to all Professional Footballers contracted to Football League and FA Premier League clubs.
In April 2006, the Scheme changed its name to
and incorporates both a Cash and Income Section.
Contributions to the Income Section are invested with Standard Life.
Pre A-Day Members of the Scheme may access their benefits from age 35.
The Scheme imposes a specific earnings cap – currently £116,060 per annum (2008/’09).
Members are provided with a Death-in-Service Benefit of four times Reckonable Earnings - subject to a maximum benefit of £1m.
The Scheme Review Date is 1st August and Benefit Statements are usually issued within 4 months of this date.
